Cage Nation's goal is to create the first self-governing MMA management/promotion company. Where NFT holders make the decisions!
The dream is to be a full-fledged management/promotion company like the UFC and Dominance MMA run by NFT holders. In the meantime, until we can live that dream, we will ensure we are a sustainable NFT project on the Cardano blockchain. To be sustainable we will start by managing smaller fighters to help them get sponsors and help start bringing in income for Cage Nation.
MMA has grown in prominence in the past 20 years garnering a lot of public attention with promotions like the UFC, Bellator, and One Championship leading the way. The UFC the biggest body in martial arts has also secured a number of cryptocurrency sponsorship deals. This proves it is very accepting of the crypto industry. As well as many fighters who promoted crypto projects, some for better but also for worse.
One thing both MMA fans and NFT supporters have in common is that both are/were ostracized. MMA was not always accepted. The naysayers thought it was too brutal and would never garner much attention with big boxing promotions getting all the attention. In many ways, crypto/NFTs beginning is very similar to what MMA went through. As a result, you can draw lines between two completely different things. This makes these two things an excellent match for each other and that's what we at Cage Nation plan to do.
Holders of Cage Nation NFTs will decide who to take under the Cage Nation banner under a majority rule voting system. At first, the founders will bring forward fighters that the holders can accept or deny. The hope is to find recruiters that can find fighters to add to the community to increase decentralization. However, the founders will work for as long as the community wants/needs to ensure it succeeds. Holders will also have access to many unique perks like free tickets to MMA events, and frontline access to MMA fighters.
